More than 3,000 years ago, India had a great sage named Maharshi Vagbhata, who authored a remarkable Ayurvedic text called Ashtanga Hridayam π.
In this ancient book, he shared over 7,000 sutras (formulas) for healing various diseases β and one of them explains the true cause and prevention of heart attacks.
Maharshi Vagbhata wrote that a heart attack occurs when the blood channels of the heart become blocked. This blockage happens when acidity in the blood increases.
Most people think of acidity as a stomach problem β but according to Ayurveda, there are two kinds of acidity:
βοΈ Burning sensation in the stomach
βοΈ Sour burps or reflux
βοΈ Water coming into the mouth
When this acidity becomes severe, it turns into hyperacidity.
But when stomach acidity spreads into the bloodstream, it becomes blood acidity β and this acidic blood cannot flow freely through the heartβs arteries.
This leads to blockages in the heart, which ultimately cause a heart attack.
This is one of Ayurvedaβs greatest insights β something modern medicine rarely talks about β because the solution is surprisingly simple!
When blood acidity rises, consume alkaline-rich foods to neutralize it.
Just like mixing acid and alkali creates a neutral substance, balancing your diet with alkalinity can restore heart health naturally.
Maharshi Vagbhata recommends including alkaline foods in your daily routine to reduce blood acidity and prevent heart blockages.
One of the most alkaline foods easily available in every Indian kitchen is β Bottle Gourd (Lauki / Doodhi). π₯
According to Ayurveda, no other vegetable is as alkaline as bottle gourd.
This Ayurvedic combination helps neutralize blood acidity and supports healthy blood flow.
Ancient Indian wisdom still holds timeless health secrets β and Ayurveda shows how simple natural remedies can help maintain a strong heart and healthy body.
